Directory of Christian Roleplayers!
This is a little off topic but seeing as a lot of miniature wargamers started out as role-players I thought this email Directory of Christian Role-players might be of value to those looking for Christian opponents in their area (or an opponent period).

Warhammer Historical Releases "Warhammer El Cid"
EL CID- WARFARE IN THE SPANISH RECONQUISTA: 900-1250 AD is a source book for Warhammer Ancient Battles. Rodrigo Diaz, better known as "El Cid", is one of the most famous warriors of the Middle Ages. His deeds are legendary and his adventures in a world of Moors and Christians, castillos and caballeros, provide ideal territory for games of Warhammer Ancient Battles. This source book contains an historical overview and detailed chronologies outlining the important events and battles of the time.

This book will give you 8 detailed lists featuring:

Armies of Christian Spain- The early Christian Kingdoms, the Age of El Cid and the Reconquista.
Armies of Al-Andalus- The Caliphate of Cordoba, the Taifa Kings and the Later Taifas.
Armies of the African Invaders- The Almoravids and the Almohads.
Aliados y Mercenarios- Allies and Mercenaries available for hire to complement your armies.
The age in which El Cid lived is one of the most colourful in military history and the armies are spectacular and varied and this is portrayed in a 16-page colour section. Accompanying each of the army lists are detailed notes on wargaming tactics, and collecting and painting the various armies that fought in Medieval Spain.

EL CID- WARFARE IN THE SPANISH RECONQUISTA: 900-1250 AD also contains two new scenarios for games of Warhammer Ancient Battles as well as a campaign system allowing you to hire El Cid himself!

This is a supplement to Warhammer Ancient Battles. You will need a copy of Warhammer Ancient Battles to use the contents of this book.

Help Support Miniature Gaming News!
Many of you may have enjoyed the former miniature news site I worked on known as "Wargames Weekly". However it was unable to support itself with ads alone and the site administrator made a decision to discontinue it. I am now the site editor and defunct site administrator of this blog. As a result my goal here with the Miniature Gaming News is to forego ads altogether and rely on the support of fellow miniature gaming enthusiasts to support the site. Any and every donation will be appreciated and will go specifically toward improving and enhancing the site. The monthly fee for the server is only $15.00 so as long as I can get that every month or every other month at least the website itself will remain up. I know there are a lot of miniature "news" sites out there that support themselves purely with ads but what I feel will set the Miniature Gaming News apart is: 1.) I hope to focus on "free rules" and other "free" online playing aids for miniature gamers; and 2.) I hope to give more exposure to independent, home based game companies like Two Hour Wargames, No Quarater and Vis Bellica. Having said that, I am always open to comments which you can post below!
